The Mid-Hudson Library System’s 53rd Annual Meeting will host a panel discussion on the implementation of New York’s statewide plan for library services, Creating the Future: A 2020 Vision and Plan for Library Services; Recommendations of the New York State Regents Advisory Council on Libraries to the New York State Board of Regents.
A panel of library leaders will discuss the implementation of the plan’s sixty recommendations. These speakers include members of the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries: John Hammond, Chair (2012-2013), Gerald Nichols, Chair (2011-2012), and Bridget Quinn-Carey, Chair (2010-2011). An open discussion will follow, providing attendees the opportunity to ask the panel questions regarding implementation.
This meeting will begin with breakfast at 8:30 AM and continue until noon on October 19, 2012 at the Visitor and Education Center of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park.
