The 2013 Library Trustee Institute will be held on May 3 and 4 in Buffalo New York. I will be speaking at a session on Saturday at 1:45 pm called, Creating the Future @ Your State Library. I am excited to have this opportunity to showcase the New York State Library, as well as to share recent implementation updates on Creating the Future with library trustees.
Library trustees need to be aware of where libraries are heading. What future improvements can we expect in library services? How can we facilitate these improvements? I will use this occasion to not only provide an overview of the State Library and its many services, but also to discuss the future of libraries with some of the folks on the frontlines of library change – the trustees.
